A Colorful Stroll Through the Hood

Ah, Manette. The place I call "the land that time forgot". And the place I call home. In all its funkiness, artistic quirkiness reveals itself at every turn. It's such a delight to live here! I just have to share some of my discoveries from my daily round.

Well, we have musicians in residence with sense of humor.

First you see the totem. Seems to have everything but the kitchen sink.

Then you notice this, nailed onto the fence.

You look up, see the string, pull it and voila, you ARE a street musician! A bell rings.

Here's my favorite ride. Isn't it cool? I just love it. I have a soft spot for old trucks.

I loved it so much I had to paint it.

Okay, so it's a funky rough draft, just like my neighborhood.

There are some wonderful gardens that offer inspiration. How sweet is this?

Here, Mr. and Mrs. Mouse are holding court and you don't even give a damn!

It's good to be reminded to do this.

Here's what I come home to each and every day. My house is the little cottage on the point with the white picket fence.

Now if you're really starting to worry about me... you should. I don't know if I'm coming or going!

Here is my next door neighbor taking a moon bath!

Have no fear, I offer evidence we do have electricity here AND progressive people.

If you ever want an insider's tour, I would be happy to show you around. The folks here are the nicest people on the planet. Smiles abound and I take comfort in my surroundings. This parting shot says it all.

Happy Halloween!
